I'M A SMALL TOWN GIRL, WHO LOVES CITY LIGHTS, DRINKS TEA, TAKES TOO MANY PHOTOS AND WRITES ABOUT THE ADVENTURES OF HER HEART. I'M A LITTLE GROWN UP, BUT NOT TOO MUCH. JUST ENOUGH SO THAT I CAN APPRECIATE COFFEE AND SUNDAY MORNINGS. I LOVE TO DREAM, IN FACT IF IT WERE A PROFESSION, I WOULD BE THE CEO BY NOW. DARK CHOCOLATE AND I GET ALONG FABULOUSLY. I LOVE TO SEE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD, AND THEN TAKE PHOTOS OF IT. I'M HAPPIEST WHEN THINGS ARE SIMPLE. I'VE HAD MY HEART BROKEN, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I WROTE SONGS ABOUT IT, AND NOW YOU CAN LISTEN TO THEM. MY MOTHER TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, THEN DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. SHE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT I COULDN'T EVER SING WHAT I REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT SOMEONE THOUGH... THANKS MUM. I LIKE WEARING DRESSES AND TWIRLING AROUND IN THEM. I WENT TO UNIVERSITY, I GRADUATED AND WORE THAT SILLY HAT. IT WAS WORTH IT, JUST FOR THE HAT. MAYBE ALSO FOR THE LOOK ON MY MUM'S FACE WHEN SHE SAW THAT DEGREE PASSED INTO MY HANDS. MY GUITAR IS MY BEST FRIEND SOMETIMES (MY HUMAN BEST FRIEND HATES ME SAYING THAT, SO DON'T TELL HER) BUT IT IS. WE DO FIGHT THOUGH, WHEN WE CAN'T QUITE GET A SONG RIGHT, SO I VISIT MY FRIEND 'PIANO'. SHE'S GREAT TOO. I LOVE SCARY MOVIES, WILL FARRELL AND FAIRYTALES. YES, I REALISE THAT THEY DON'T QUITE GO TOGETHER, BUT MY TASTE TENDS TO BE VERY ECLECTIC - IN EVERY FACET OF MY LIFE. I'M THANKFUL YOU FOUND ME. WHETHER YOU'VE HEARD A SONG, WATCHED A VIDEO, READ A LYRIC, READ MY BLOG, OR HAVE SEEN ME LIVE, THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR SPENDING SOME TIME ON SOMETHING I CREATED. - After I attempt love, rather badly might I add, I tend to write several songs about it.
Life to me is merely a playground, and I haven't grown up enough yet to forget that. Growing up has introduced this funny thing called reality, which sits not so comfortably in my life. I always pictured myself as a completely different person when i was ‘grown up’. It hasn’t happened, I still feel 12. Maybe I always will? I don't take myself very seriously, actually I don't take myself seriously at all.
I take photos of almost everything. I love being able to freeze a moment in time and travel back to it via the colours of the day. I love packing suitcases, unpacking... not so much. Airports are my favourite place to be in limbo. I should also add that I play the flute, really badly.
I grew up in the suburbs, near the beach and close to the country. Where everyone, knows everyone. Where you simply can't get away with anything and most sentences start with 'you know this person's aunt? yeah, it's her cousin's uncle'. As a result I love to run away to big cities and gaze at the lights, but love my home town comforts as well. The only pets I owned as a child consisted of two fish, two birds and a rabbit. I am probably scarred for not owning a dog. I laugh at almost anything. I have a degree... can you believe it? I’m so academic right now. I haven’t put on the funny coat and hat yet, but I will. That’s what you complete a degree for right? I’m kidding.
But let's get serious for a moment (well let's pretend), thank you for visiting my site.
